ALTİD General Secretary Elvan Güneş represented Alanya at the International Utazas Tourism Fair held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Güneş stated that, based on observations of early booking sales and planned flight numbers at the fair, which attracted great interest from travel agencies and hotel operators, there was a prevailing expectation that 2015 figures could be reached. During the fair, meetings were held with tour operators and journalists, and plans were made to host journalists in Alanya for promotional activities.

The International Utazas Tourism Fair was held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, a city known for its rich history, thermal baths, and Turkish baths. Alanya was represented at the fair by Elvan Güneş, a member of the Board of Directors of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) and the General Secretary of the Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD). Güneş stated that they conducted promotional activities with the Alanya stand, which was established under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, and noted that there has been a significant increase in the Hungarian market, as in other markets. She shared her observations and impressions as follows: "GREAT INTEREST FROM TRAVEL AGENCIES AND HOTEL OPERATORS." Following the collapse of GreenTravel, a significant portion of its operations were handled by Sun&Fun, the operator of De-Ha Turizm. This year, AnexTour began operating in the Hungarian market for the first time with its operator, OrexTravel. Akay Travel also opened a stand at the fair this year with its operator, Anubis Travel. A much larger number of travel agencies and hotel operators participated from both Alanya and other regions compared to last year. In our meetings with hotel operators, we received information that the number of reservations was at a satisfactory level. There is a noticeable increase in Hungary, which is considered an important market. Based on the planned number of flights and early booking sales, it is anticipated that the figures for 2015 can be reached. "PROMOTIONAL PLANNING WAS CONDUCTED WITH JOURNALISTS." Throughout the fair, we held important meetings with tour operators, journalists from print media, TV, and tourism magazines. We gave interviews to promote our region. We also identified journalists who we will host in Alanya and made plans for joint promotional activities. Students from a tourism school, who visited our stand along with their teachers and administrators, and who represent an important source of tourism workforce for the city, asked questions about Alanya, and we answered them. We provided them with promotional materials containing information about Alanya that teachers and students could benefit from.
