ALTİD President Gülçin Güner stated that the demand from the Dutch market is above last year's levels and that Dutch tourists show interest in the accommodation diversity and city life in Alanya. Güner requested that tourism professionals approach the year 2012 with caution due to the economic crisis and establish their market shares accordingly. Additionally, ALTİD announced that they have implemented an accessible tourism project covering the city's sea, road, and environmental arrangements in cooperation with institutions such as Alanya Municipality and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

ALTİD President Gülçin Güner requested that everyone act cautiously for the year 2012 and establish their market shares in their minds.
Stating that they participated in nearly 30 fairs on behalf of the ministry this year, ALTİD President Gülçin Güner pointed out that the Dutch market is important for Alanya. Noting that the demand coming from the Netherlands is above last year's levels, Güner continued her speech as follows:
"The major tour operators we consult with say that Alanya is high in Antalya. Alanya is a place that attracts Dutch tourists with its very diverse accommodation options; with its apartments and its five-star hotels... The Dutch love city life and living on the street. In this sense, they want to share the street, and Alanya is important to them for this reason. Antalya has gained momentum in this market, and Alanya is exceeding this growth. We expect that the Netherlands will send more tourists to Alanya this year compared to 2011. The reason tourism professionals are approaching 2012 with more caution is, of course, the economic crisis. We must consider a combination of many economic events developing outside of our control. We need to form our market share projections accordingly. As tourism professionals, we already take these into account every year. Every kind of fluctuation affects tourism. We take precautions and make changes accordingly."
Stating that they are implementing an accessible tourism project in Alanya, Güner said, "It is a very important project. This is a very important project, especially for European countries. We are participating in specific fairs for this. We must prepare the city for tourism for 12 months. Together with ALTİD, the Chamber of Commerce, Alanya Municipality, the Federation of the Disabled, and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the city's sea, road, and landscaping arrangements are being carried out towards accessible tourism. We have also created a prototype hotel. An ALTİD Board Member, the owner of the Monte Carlo Hotel, has configured 60 rooms of his hotel for accessible tourism. He also implemented the infrastructure accordingly. We will achieve a first in Alanya in the field of accessible tourism."
