The ALTİD management discussed regional issues and international fair activities at a meeting held with hotel operators in the Keykubat, Oba, Tosmur, Kestel, and Mahmutlar regions. During the meeting, ALTİD President Burhan Sili gave a presentation on expanding the use of the ‘Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program,’ which was developed and is offered free of charge to create a tourist profile map. The program aims to provide guidance on marketing strategies by collecting nationality, gender, age group, and number of overnight stays data received from hotel businesses into a single center.

The management of the ALANYA Association of Tourist Operators (ALTİD) continued its regional meetings with hotel operators from the Keykubat, Oba, Tosmur, Kestel, and Mahmutlar regions. In the meeting, which was attended by Alanya Deputy Mayor Ali Yenialp, who listened to regional issues, ALTİD President and Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member Burhan Sili gave a presentation to members regarding the expansion of the ‘Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program.’ Stating that a tourist profile map of Alanya is being created region by region with nationality, gender, age group, and number of overnight stays, Sili said, “With the information we obtain from the ‘Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program,’ which concerns Alanya tourism and which I consider to be one of the most important projects, we will see how we should act for the future with scientific clarity and broad projection. I invite all hotel operators to this study. I expect sensitivity toward this matter for the future of Alanya tourism. In the coming years, it is not possible for us to practice sustainable tourism without possessing information.” At the meeting, international fair activities and promotion models to be concentrated on in the first months of 2018 were also discussed.
HOW DOES THE DATA PROGRAM WORK?
The ‘Nova ALTİD Analysis Regional Data Program’, which is installed on hotel businesses' front office computers by their own IT officers and does not create security vulnerabilities, automatically or upon a command given by the hotel management, collects nationality, gender, age group, and number of nights stayed at a specific center. Having received positive feedback from external auditors and computer experts, the data obtained from this program will significantly guide hotel operators on which markets they could be more efficient in or which marketing strategies they could develop. Hotel operators will not pay any fee for the application.
