The Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) has concluded its regional meetings. During this series of meetings, where regional issues affecting Alanya's tourism sector were discussed, plaques were awarded to representatives of businesses that either accepted earthquake victims into their facilities or provided financial assistance.

Over 30,000 earthquake victims have been hosted in our hotels.

Burhan Sili, a member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED) and the President of ALTİD, provided information about the meetings held. He stated that in this annual series of meetings, ALTİD members come together, and that regional issues are identified on-site and directly communicated to the relevant authorities. He also mentioned that these issues are conveyed to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism through TÜROFED. President Sili also stated that, in relation to the earthquake disaster, the country provided an exemplary crisis management response, ensuring that over 30,000 earthquake victims were accommodated in hotels without any issues.

'600,000 OVERNIGHT STAYS RECORDED'

President Sili, who also provided information on the number of overnight stays, stated, "The total number of overnight stays provided by our accommodation facilities to those affected by the earthquake was 600,000. During one of the largest disasters our country has faced, our member facilities stepped up and, in addition to covering all accommodation costs, also took on the responsibility of paying electricity and water bills, demonstrating a great sense of selflessness, as is expected during such disasters. The entire cost of the organization was covered by our member facilities." President Sili thanked former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, as well as all state officials, the administrators, employees, and municipal employees of state institutions in the region, our mayor, Adem Murat Yücel, and all citizens working on a voluntary basis, and presented plaques to the managers of the facilities that provided support during the earthquake disaster.
