“THE TOURISM SECTOR SHOULD BE TREATED AS A STATE POLICY”
Speaking at the meeting, TÜROFED Board Member and ALTİD President Burhan Sili emphasized that industry representatives must act together so that the current situation of the sector can be expressed more strongly before the Ministry. President Sili stated, “In the coming months, the data will become even clearer, and the current state of tourism will become much more evident through figures. If we cannot express ourselves correctly by acting together, affiliated sectors and tradespeople will also have to endure negative consequences. The tourism sector, which provides significant foreign exchange inflow in terms of on-site export and directly affects many sectors, must be addressed as a state policy as soon as possible and must be supported even more.”
“SPECIAL CONSUMPTION TAX SHOULD BE REDUCED TO THE RATES APPLIED IN OUR COMPETITOR COUNTRIES”
