In his opening speech at the meeting, District Governor Hulusi Doğan provided information regarding the investments being made and to be made in Alanya, as well as problems and expectations.
Emphasizing that it is a tourism city, Governor Dr. Ahmet Altıparmak stated that everyone must protect tourism and do their part for sustainable tourism, noting that while occupancy rates are already high in the months of June-August, the number of tourists should primarily be increased in the months of April and May. Providing information about the Alo 179 Call Line application, he stated that this call line should be utilized in the sector. He emphasized that the most important element in tourism is a “reliable” image.
In the continuation of the meeting, mayors, mukhtars, and representatives of non-governmental organizations, as well as tourism professionals, stated their requests and suggestions.
ALTİD President Gülçin Güner stated that problems in tourism are common and well-known, expressing her desire to draw attention to two different issues: first, that "due to the excessive number of facilities, the inspection schedule is spread across years and arrives much later, and this process needs to be accelerated; and second, in certain judicial cases occurring in hotels where the police and gendarmerie are required to enter the hotel, it is important for the security forces entering touristic facilities to wear civilian clothes so as not to disturb the tourists," she noted.
Governor Dr. Ahmet Altıparmak stated that the submitted proposals would be evaluated, and then the Alanya tour program commenced.
