Dear Member,
We have left behind a difficult year. The coronavirus pandemic has dealt a blow to our sector, and we have experienced, and are still experiencing, the most severe crisis in our history. Although we are a sector accustomed to crises and capable of overcoming them in a short time, the process experienced with the pandemic has been extremely negative for all of us, and unfortunately, it has been a process that we could not resolve, and that is in every way exhausting. During this period, we discussed the problems and potential consequences with our minister and relevant authorities, and we conveyed our demands for support, and we have strived to share these issues, as well as information related to our sector, with you. Our desire was for much more, both for you and for all of us, and we will continue our efforts in this regard.
We have entered a new year. Our greatest wish is that this year will be much better for all of us, for our region, our country, and the entire world. We know from our past experiences that the recovery process in tourism cannot happen overnight. However, despite everything, there are signs that this year will be more positive than the previous year, and our experiences will provide us with advantages in the upcoming season. Despite all these signs and the advantages brought by our experiences, we will make realistic plans and act cautiously, and I hope that we will overcome this year as well, and that year after year we will reach the levels we desire.
I wish you a happy new year, and I hope that it will bring health, happiness, and success to you, your family, and all your loved ones. With love and respect,
Burhan Sili
