While Abu Dhabi is participating as a special partner at the WTM fair, a 'Ministers' Summit' will be organized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization, where the removal of visa regimes and tourism barriers will be addressed. Among the main agenda items of the fair are accessible tourism, sustainable tourism, emerging economies, and lessons learned from the London 2012 Olympics. Turkey, on the other hand, is focusing on destination-oriented promotion efforts in order to reverse the 7 percent decline in the UK market.

PARTNER COUNTRY ABU DHABI
Accessible tourism is taking center stage at WTM this year. Furthermore, following the agreement signed by G20 countries in May to prioritize issues such as facilitating tourist movement and creating jobs in this field, the repercussions of this initiative are among the headlines occupying the agenda. During WTM 2012, where Abu Dhabi is the special partner, the United Nations World Tourism Organization will also organize a 'Ministers' Summit'. The summit will focus on efforts aimed at removing visa regimes and other obstacles to the development of world tourism. If these efforts are successfully completed, G20 countries will gain 5 million new jobs and 206 billion dollars in revenue as of 2015.
WTM AGENDA: SUSTAINABLE TOURISM
The third day of WTM will feature a 'responsible tourism' day held in conjunction with UNWTO. Healthy and sustainable tourism will be discussed. In addition, the significant progress made by emerging economies in tourism in recent years, lessons learned from the London 2012 Olympics, and 2013 forecasts are among the main topics addressed by the fair.
Turkey, on the other hand, is focused on reversing the decline it has experienced in recent years, particularly in the UK market. Continuing with destination-oriented information and promotion, Turkey will attempt to turn the 7 percent decrease into an increase.
