Alanya Municipal Council Member and Chairman of the Budget Commission Hilmi Tokuş has become the Honorary Consul of Sweden. Sweden's Ambassador to Ankara Christer Asp and Consul General in Istanbul Torkel Stiernlöf, who arrived in Alanya, held the opening ceremony of the Swedish Honorary Consulate.
Christer Asp, the Swedish Ambassador to Ankara, who visited Hilmi Tokuş—who also serves as Acting Mayor in place of Alanya Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu—at the municipality, stated during his remarks there, "Mr. Hilmi Tokuş is a very well-known and successful individual. We are pleased that he is our Honorary Consul. Together, we will further strengthen the ties between Sweden and Alanya. I wish him success."
Ambassador Asp and Consul General Stiernlöf later visited District Governor Hulusi Doğan, Chief Public Prosecutor Ali Yeldan, and Mayor Hasan Sipahioğlu to exchange views.
