The opening cocktail of the International Alanya Film Festival, which will be held between May 23-29 with the contributions of the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD) and the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), was held at Zaphan Bar. Following the cocktail, the artists and directors were introduced to local and foreign citizens during the opening ceremony.
'LOVE WILL SPREAD TO THE WORLD FROM ALANYA'
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel stated, "Welcome to Alanya, a city that has hosted many civilizations and is multi-religious and multilingual. The esteemed cinema artists and directors present here today have made us very happy by coming here. In our Tourism and Art Festival, which is being held for the 17th time this year, we have hosted thousands of people from many different countries. Today, the whole world is in need of love and peace. Just like this festival, we want to continue spreading this message to the world through cinema, which is a universal language. We believe that our festivals, which are nourished by love, will be effective in promoting Alanya to the entire world. I congratulate our first-place winning film in advance, and I wish success to all our guests who will compete with their works."

ALTİD President Burhan Sili also stated, "Individuals and societies begin life through communication. The art of cinema is one of the most effective ways of communication. We believe that this beautiful organization, held under the organization of ALTİD, ALTAV, Alanya Municipality, the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, will make positive contributions to Alanya and our country. 'IT WILL BECOME ALANYA'S NEW PROMOTION AREA'
ALTAV Vice President Mehmet Dahaoğlu, stating that as ALTAV they have been continuously conducting tourism activities in different ways across various countries since 1985, said, "As a result of these experiences, we saw that it is not enough to promote Alanya through its social, sports, and cultural characteristics. We said, 'Let's add film to this as well.' Today, we are before you with the first of this event. We have built the infrastructure for this over the past two years, and today we are here to say 'We are here too' to the world in this sector. We are together with all our friends. Therefore, I would like to thank everyone who supports us and takes part in our work." Films from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Estonia, and Azerbaijan will meet the audience with Turkish and Russian subtitles at Alanya İskele Şelale Square and the Alanya Mahmutlar Cultural Center.
