As a result of the meetings held, planning was made for a national Georgian press group of 6 people to be hosted in Alanya.

Alanya was promoted at the 19th CTF Caucasus International Tourism Fair, held in Tbilisi, the capital of GEORGIA, between April 27-29. At the fair, where Alanya was featured under the Ministry's auspices for the second time, representatives from Russia, Thailand, and Estonia, in addition to Turkey, also conducted promotional activities.
TRANSPORTATION TO ALANYA IS AVAILABLE BY AIR AND LAND
Georgians, who closely follow Turkish series, are showing demand for Alanya via both road and air. Turkish Airlines (THY) operates four flights a day to Antalya and Gazipaşa Alanya airports via Istanbul with a transfer through Tbilisi. There are also reciprocal bus services twice a day between Alanya Bus Terminal and Tbilisi Bus Terminal. Travel by road takes one and a half days.
"2017 IS ON THE RISE"
Providing information regarding reservation figures, Pegas Touristik Georgia General Manager Harun Turan stated that they transported 11,700 passengers in 2014, 10,200 passengers in 2015, and 6,100 passengers in 2016 predominantly to Antalya, and that their 2017 planning consists of 8,000 passengers for Antalya Airport and 2,000 passengers for Milas-Bodrum Airport.
"MAY ALANYA BE AN EXAMPLE TO ALL INSTITUTIONS"
Alanya was Turkey's sole representative from the Mediterranean Region at this fair. İrfan Çiftçi, the Baku Cultural and Promotion Attaché, who is also responsible for Georgia, stated that the professional activities of the Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) in Baku and Tbilisi should serve as an example to all public and private institutions, saying, "We are reaping the fruits of the Alanya promotions we have conducted in Azerbaijan. In my meetings with tour operators, I receive information that the seats for every new flight opened for Alanya are sold out within a few days. We are continuing our promotional activities for Georgia at the same pace and are receiving positive signals."
"PASSING WITH IDENTITY PROVIDES AN ADVANTAGE"
Speaking at a reception held at the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye, which was attended by ALTAV officials, the Ambassador of Tbilisi Zeki Levent Gümrükçü emphasized that touristic density will increase even further in the coming years thanks to the existing identity-based crossing agreement between the two bordering countries.
