On the first day of the 11th Traditional Gökbel Highland Oil Wrestling Festival, organized by Alanya Municipality and supported by the Alanya Association of Tourism Professionals (ALTİD), Volkan Konak met with his fans. In the oil wrestling matches held on the second day, Kırkpınar Chief Wrestler Orhan Okulu became the champion by defeating all his opponents in Gökbel as well.
TOURISTS ALSO WRESTLED
Both 46-year-old Marcel Zwiep and 42-year-old Cristian Dam, both of whom are Dutch, entered the wrestling arena wearing kispet. Tourists who came to watch the wrestling matches also cheered loudly for the Dutch wrestlers. In the match refereed by Kasımoğlu Kerim Yılmaz, who won the wrestling lordship with 407 thousand TL, Dam won by pinning his opponent Zwiep. The winning Dutch tourist, Cristian Dam, was gifted a 1-week holiday to be spent with his family at a 5-star hotel located in Alanya.
