Tanıtım

The tradition remained unbroken at the International Alanya Christmas Market, organized for the 6th time by the Alanya Municipality Foreigners' Assembly. The revenue generated from the market will be used for the benefit of people with disabilities.

The 6th International Alanya Christmas Market was held in the square behind the Municipality building. The market was attended by the President of the Alanya Municipality Foreigners Assembly Abdullah Karaoğlu, Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yücel, Alanya District Governor Hasan Tanrıseven, members of the Alanya Association of Tourist Operators (ALTİD), the Lithuanian Ambassador to Ankara Audrius Bruzga, representatives of public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations, foreign associations, citizens, resident foreigners, and tourists.

The official program of the market, which began in the morning hours, was held at 13:00. During the official part of the program, Foreigners Council President Karaoğlu, Mayor Yücel, and District Governor Tanrıseven drew attention to tolerance and world peace in their speeches.

“THE FINEST EXAMPLE OF FRIENDSHIP AND BROTHERHOOD IS IN THIS SQUARE”

Alanya Mayor Yücel, who visited the stands opened by resident foreigners and non-governmental organizations one by one and chatted with them, stated that the most beautiful example of friendship and brotherhood was being experienced at the Christmas Market.

Emphasizing that Alanya is one of the world's few holiday centers, Yücel continued his speech as follows:

“Alanya hosts 17 thousand residents and 37 thousand foreign property owners from 79 nations. This reflects the culture of respect and tolerance of the Turkish society. The tolerance shown by Fatih Sultan Mehmet during the conquest of Istanbul in 1453 continues in the same way in our country. We also aim to keep alive forever the Turkish-Islamic tolerance that we inherited from our ancestors. As a municipality, our duty is to work with the same understanding for the happiness and prosperity of you, along with our own people.”

"While keeping our religious and cultural richness alive, let us be an example to the whole world within the framework of understanding and respect, without hurting or upsetting one another. With these feelings, I celebrate the Christmas holiday of our new Alanya friends, and I thank our sponsors and those who contributed their efforts"

ORGANIZED FOR NO

Alanya, which organizes numerous events for the benefit of people with disabilities in collaboration with official institutions and non-governmental organizations, will also spend the proceeds collected from its Christmas Market on people with disabilities. At the 6th International Christmas Market, organized by the Alanya Municipality Foreigners' Assembly for resident foreigners living in Alanya, Irish and British resident groups, the Norwegian Cultural House, the German and Russian Church Association, and the Swedish, Finnish, Danish, Polish, German, Lithuanian, and Russian Associations, as well as non-governmental organizations, are making sales by showcasing their national cultures.

CHARGING STATION ESTABLISHED

The revenue obtained from the Christmas Market will be used for the benefit of disabled people living in the city. The Foreigners' Council used the revenues it obtained from the market in previous years for wheelchairs, portable disabled elevators, disabled transport vehicles, and disabled charging stations.

VOICES OF PEACE ROSE FROM THE STAGE

It was noteworthy that the songs specially prepared for the day by the choirs and dance groups specifically called for world peace. Peace and tolerance were proclaimed to the entire world in the songs performed by the Müzik Mozaik Korosu, Finlandiya Sumba Grubu, Akdeniz Kültürlerarası Uyum Derneği Korosu, Polonya Trzcina Hareket Tiyatrosu, Vokal Topluluk Forte Meastro, and the children's choirs.

EVERYTHING WAS PREPARED TO PERFECTION

The foreigners participating in the Christmas Market expressed their gratitude to Alanya Mayor Yücel, Alanya District Governor Tanrıseven, and everyone who contributed to the preparation of the area, stating that every detail had been considered and that it was a flawless organization. The resident foreigners noted that the organization was extremely excellent, featuring food and exhibition stalls as well as a Christmas tree, a Santa Claus House, workshop areas for children, a photo corner, and music, and stated that they were very pleased to be provided with this opportunity.
