The Alanya Crystal Castle International Film Festival has begun. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism General Directorate of Cinema and with the contributions of the Alanya District Governorate, the Istanbul Cinema Development and Promotion Association (SİNEGED), Alanya Municipality, Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV), Alanya Association of Tourist Employers (ALTİD), Alanya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ALTSO), and Onur Air, the Alanya Crystal Castle International Film Festival will conclude with the closing ceremony on June 29.
DOMESTIC AND FOREIGN FILMS WILL BE SCREENED
The concept for this year's festival, to be held between June 24-30, has been determined as "Let Friendship Win." Approximately 30 artists from many countries, primarily Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, are participating in the festival, whose opening and red carpet walk are being held at Alanya Kızılkule Square. Alongside more than 20 foreign films, domestic films will also be screened at the festival.
THEY DELIVERED MESSAGES OF FRIENDSHIP AND PEACE
Artists participating in the ceremony of the Alanya Crystal Castle International Film Festival, the first edition of which is being held this year and will showcase films themed around feelings of friendship and solidarity from Germany, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, Denmark, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye, were introduced to art lovers with a "red carpet" walk. During the festival, friendship messages were read from Selda Alkor from Türkiye, Wilma Elles from Germany, Olga Sumskaya from Ukraine, Andrey Ankudinov from Russia, Viktor Vasilyev from Belarus, Maira Karsakbayeva from Kazakhstan, and Kenan Mahmudov from Azerbaijan. Within the scope of the festival, a panel titled "Cinema Cooperations of Türkiye and Central Asian Countries" will be organized to discuss methods for the development, promotion, and opening of the cinema sector to new markets.
MENTIONED THE ISSUE OF SECURITY
Famous television and cinema actress Wilma Elles addressed the issue of security in Türkiye, stating, "This is the same in every city, not just in the cities of Türkiye. I am just as safe in other cities as I am in İstanbul. Today, artists from many countries are present at this festival, and we are sending a message of friendship to the world in 7 languages from Alanya. This gives me goosebumps. This is very important. We are all one, we are friends, we are the same. Our series are watched in many countries. While watching, they always experience the same emotions; they cry and they laugh together."
“WE DO NOT DISCRIMINATE BASED ON RELIGION, LANGUAGE, OR RACE”
Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) Vice President Mehmet Dahaoğlu also stated, “As ALTAV, we feel great pride and honor to showcase such a beautiful organization alongside this history-scented Kızılkule and Shipyard. With such beautiful events, we wanted to repeatedly remind and announce our city's name with peace and tranquility. Here, regardless of religion, language, race, gender, and age, our duty, by joining hands with a strong bond, is to continue the struggle by saying ‘Peace in spite of everything’ for a clean world for tomorrow.”
MOVIES IN CINEMAS
At the festival, which will conclude with a closing ceremony to be held on June 29, the films "Jack", "Happy Hour", "The Judgement", "Snow", "The Count of Oranges", "Seagulls", "Love Swing", "Homeland", "Down The River", "Nabat", "Arama Motoru", "Meleklerin Mucizesi", and the Japanese-Turkish co-production "Ertuğrul 1890" directed by Mitsutoshi Tanaka will be screened.
