A 13-person delegation consisting of Anadolu Jet Promotion and Marketing Manager Zekeriya Çoştu, Marketing Coordinator Demokan Murat Öktem, Marketing Field Representative Burak Er, Turkish Airlines Erzurum Sales Manager Mehmet Akkaya, TÜRSAB Northeast Anatolia BYK President Hakan Urvasızoğlu, and representatives from Erzurum-based travel agencies participated in the Alanya tour organization held in cooperation with the Alanya Association of Tourism Operators (ALTİD), the Association of Turkish Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB) Alanya Regional Executive Board (BYK), and Anadolu Jet. Staying in Alanya for 2 days, the delegation met with Alanya tourism association executives in a meeting on the first day, while on the second day, they visited the historic Alanya Castle, the historic Alanya Shipyard where boat construction continues, and the Akdeniz University Konaklı Congress Center.
ERZURUM AIRPORT FACTOR
In meetings where it was emphasized that Erzurum, with a population of 766,000 and standing out with more than 90,000 students, will make a great contribution to domestic market tourism along with its neighboring provinces, it was stated that Erzurum Airport is also actively used by neighboring provinces. It was expressed that the potential for holidaymakers to be brought to Alanya via connecting flights through Ankara from Erzurum should be uncovered, and depending on the results, direct flights between Erzurum Airport and Gazipaşa Airport may be launched by airline companies in the upcoming periods.
‘ALANYA ADVERTISEMENTS WILL BE SHOWN’
Stating that they have organized a comprehensive meeting for Alanya for the first time, agency managers from Erzurum said, “Alanya is a very important holiday region for us. Alanya has a very wide range, from pension tourism to high-end concept hotels, and with this situation, it is an important tourism center leading the way within the country.” Saying that their primary goal is to promote Alanya holidays in Erzurum and the surrounding provinces, the Erzurum-based agents expressed that they will launch local and regional newspaper and TV advertising campaigns.

On the other hand, the contacts made by the delegation in Alanya and the photographs taken at the historical sites visited will be published in Anadolu Jet magazine. The magazine, which is found in airports and in the seat pockets of aircraft, reaches over 1 million readers monthly.
