The members of the ALANYA Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) Board of Directors are continuing promotional activities around the world. As part of the foundation's fair and festival organizations, the 16th promotional activity took place at the Holiday World International Tourism Fair in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. ALTAV Board Member Gürol Birgen represented Alanya at the fair. Birgen emphasized that Turkey is the most preferred country for Czech citizens and that statistical data has rebounded after a significant decline in 2016. "This market, which attracted attention with 220,000 passengers in 2015, 82,000 in 2016, and 123,000 in 2017, sees Czechs placing Turkey at the top of their vacation choices this year. Tour operators are reporting that they have already reached their target number of passengers and are increasing capacity with additional flights and hotel reservations." "ALANYA IS A GROWING VALUE." It is encouraging that people within Turkey also prioritize the Alanya region. Alanya is a rising value in the Czech Republic. Alanya's share in this market is increasing. With the developments, it is expected that Travel Service, the largest airline in the Czech Republic, will now fly directly to Gazipaşa Alanya Airport. Our discussions with operators have been conducted in this direction.
