Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) Board Member Cengiz Dönmez represented Alanya at the Ferien Tourism Fair held in Vienna, the capital of Austria. At the fair, Dönmez met with TUI representative Angela Dursunlar and learned that interest in Türkiye could increase in the months of March and April, and met with Endemic Tur official Serkan Aygören regarding Alanya bicycle tours. It was stated at the fair that stands from Türkiye were half comprised by the Antalya region and that Austrian citizens and tour agency officials were in agreement regarding the lifting of visas.

Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) Board Member Cengiz Dönmez represented Alanya at the Ferien Tourism Fair held in Vienna, the capital of Austria. Dönmez stated the following regarding the fair:
The Alanya promotion is taking place within the Ministry of Tourism stand. Officials from the Ministry and agencies visited our stand. I held a meeting with the TUI Austria representative Angela Dursunlar. She stated that interest in Türkiye is generally low and expressed her belief that this situation will change and interest will increase towards the months of March and April. We held discussions with the Istanbul-based Endemic Tur official Mr. Serkan Aygören regarding Alanya bicycle tours. I conveyed that we would provide support to him. I provided information to the Zurich Promotion Counselor responsible for Vienna, Ms. Hilal Demirel, particularly regarding the Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport. A plaque organized on her behalf by the ALTAV Board of Directors was presented to her.
“AGENTS ARE WAITING FOR MARCH AND APRIL”
There was participation of about 20 stands from Türkiye in the fair, and half of this figure was represented by the Antalya region. Reservation figures are not encouraging. There is an expectation that there will be movement in the months of March and April. Austrians, who are uneasy due to recent events, may show themselves in last-minute sales. This is the expectation. In the meetings I have conducted, Austrian citizens and tour agency officials are in agreement that visas should be lifted.
