The Alanya Tourism Promotion Foundation (ALTAV) made a rapid start at the tourism fair held in the city of Utrecht, Netherlands. At the booth featuring ALTAV President Faik Melih Kaptanoğlu, ALTAV Board Member Elvan Güneş, and İbrahim Sipahipğlu, the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) Board Member and Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD) President Burhan Sili also held one-on-one meetings with tour operator representatives. Thomas Cook Netherlands Product Manager Raldy De Haan, Thomas Cook Belgium Contract Manager Els Ghys, TÜROFED President Osman Ayık, Antalya Governor Muammer Türker, and Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism İbrahim Acar visited the Alanya booth and received information from Kaptanoğlu, Sili, and Güneş.
THOMAS COOK’S INTEREST IN ALANYA
During the meeting, Thomas Cook executives Haan and Ghys were provided with information regarding the capacity increase of Gazipaşa Alanya Airport and the apron works being carried out. Antalya Governor Muammer Türker, during his visit to the Alanya stand, met with ALTAV President Kaptanoğlu regarding the works. Governor Türker, expressing his condolences and wishes for a speedy recovery due to Kaptanoğlu's recent hospitalization for a serious illness and the passing of his wife during the same period, stated, “I congratulate the ALTAV Board of Directors, especially President Faik Kaptanoğlu, who contributes greatly to the promotion of the Alanya brand.”
