An Alanya promotion was held in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, which has a population of approximately 1 million 200 thousand. Alanya was represented at the promotion by Gürol Birgen, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Alanya Promotion Foundation (ALTAV). Stating that reservations from the Czech Republic to all of Turkey, which had been trending low in recent periods, have come to a complete standstill following the terrorist attack in Ankara, Birgen noted that group preferences from this country are generally for Alanya. Birgen emphasized that Czech citizens have been turning to different countries for security reasons due to recent events and shared his impressions in light of the meetings he held during the fair as follows:

Officials from tour operators such as Blue Style, Fisher, Cedok, Azur Reisen, and GlobTur stated that reservations would remain at least 50 percent below previous levels in the shadow of terrorist incidents. Tour operators are making joint decisions regarding the reduction of guaranteed flight seat agreements and the lowering of their guarantees. It is observed that sales will once again lean towards the last-minute system this year.

Following the meeting held with TAV official Mr. Serkan Karahatay and Blue Style Tour Operator Walid Titar, an announcement was made that Prague-Gazipaşa Alanya Airport flights will be operated once a week between June 2 and October 13 in partnership with Travel Service Airlines.
