Officials from ATU Duty Free, established in 2000 as a joint venture between TAV Havalimanları Holding, Unifree Duty Free A.Ş., and Gebr, visited the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD). ATU Gazipaşa Airport Administrative Affairs Manager Barış Komsuoğlu, Operations Manager Berk Sancar, and Seher Abay exchanged ideas with ALTİD President Burhan Sili regarding the more effective promotion and development of Gazipaşa Airport, as well as potential joint activities. Stating that ATU Duty Free has been filling a significant gap at Gazipaşa Airport since March 2013, Sili said, “Inter-institutional relations and airport promotion efforts are accelerating the development process of Gazipaşa Airport. We forecast that Gazipaşa Airport, which reached 360 thousand passengers in 2013, will exceed 500 thousand passengers in 2014. This activity leads to major investments both inside and outside the airport. The regional economy is growing in parallel with the airport's volume.
