The pollution that formed on the coastlines following heavy rainfall is being eliminated by the Alanya Tourist Operators Association (ALTİD) cleaning team. With works continuing throughout the day in the eastern and western regions of Alanya, the beaches are regaining their former appearance. Reminding that they carry out arrangement and cleaning works on the beaches for 12 months, ALTİD President Burhan Sili said, “City cleanliness cannot be provided solely by institutions and cleaning personnel. Whether domestic or foreign, especially our resident citizens need to be very sensitive. Wastes such as cigarette butts thrown into drains anywhere in the city or beverage bottles thrown into river channels that connect to the sea cause great pollution on the beaches after heavy rain.”
