The 5th Ordinary General Assembly of the Turkish Hotel Association (TÜROFED) was held in Antalya. Following the speech made to the members by TÜROFED President Osman Ayık, the Presiding Committee was formed. While TÜROFED Founding President Ahmet Barut became the Chairman of the Presiding Committee, Işık Uğurtuğ and Bekir Akkaş also took part in the committee. At the Ordinary General Assembly, the Board of Directors Activity Report, the Supervisory Board Report, the 2017-2019 estimated budget, and the statute amendments were accepted unanimously. Following the items discussed and discharged, the names of the new term's board members were determined. Republican People's Party Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also attended the General Assembly.
“IMPORTANT FOR TURKEY AND ALANYA TOURISM”
Alanya Tourism Operators Association (ALTİD) President Burhan Sili stated the following in his announcement: "We took part in the 21-member management staff as two representatives from Alanya. The work of TÜROFED, which is the most widespread representative of the accommodation sector throughout Turkey, is very important for the country's tourism. There is a federation structure in which regions are represented. The tourism sector is going through a challenging process, and this situation requires us to work much harder. I believe that together with the new team, we will achieve successful works on behalf of Turkey and Alanya tourism."
“STRENGTHENS WITH THE TOURISM LAW”
Tourism professional Gülçin Güner stated: TÜROFED is an important organization that brings together representatives from across Turkey under one umbrella. It has a structure that is steadily expanding and receiving representations from every region of Turkey. In this respect, the existence of TÜROFED is very important for the tourism sector. Furthermore, if a tourism professional law is enacted and registered, its power in terms of effectiveness will be even greater
will increase. The private sector will have met its representative before the law. For this reason, it is important for the dynamics to gather under the umbrella of TÜROFED and create a union of strength regarding the resolution of the problems facing tourism. On behalf of the tourism sector and our region, which are significantly affected by external factors, we will continue to work as tourism soldiers and carry on our efforts to establish laws concerning the sector.
